La Toya Haynes is the director of training at the Global Career Advancement Institute, a career empowerment firm dedicated to helping individuals and organizations elevate their futures. An Executive and Human Resources professional with more than 25+ years of experience, La Toya Haynes formerly worked for Fortune 500 organizations and mid-size corporations including General Motors, Tyco International’s Kendall Healthcare, Procter&Gamble, Ericsson, Tupperware Brand’s BeautiControl, Intuit, and Robert Smith’s Private Equity Firm, Vista Equity Partners. As a strategic business partner throughout her career, she has led transformational change management, organizational redesigns, and merger and acquisition integration efforts. In her senior leadership roles, she has led all aspects of human resources.
Some of her noteworthy accomplishments include being the first and only person to serve as Director of Racial Equity at the Silicon Valley Tech Giant, Intuit. She led the Racial Equity Advancement Leadership Team and was featured in Fast Company’s Work in Progress Series, where she showcased the racial equity strategies being implemented enterprise wide.
La Toya was awarded Intuit’s coveted Bill Campbell Coaching Award bestowed by the current CEO, Sasan Goodarzi. She received this award for her efforts in coaching over 100 Intuit employees and championing diversity, equity, and inclusion, retaining talent, and strengthening communities within the company.
She holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Development & Executive Coaching from the University of Texas, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Southern University and A&M College, and a Certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in HR from Cornell University. She is a Professional Coach and currently holds an Advisory Board position for Boss Class.
La Toya believes that playing small does not serve the world and is currently working to start her own HR Consulting/Professional Development Company, The Talent Practice.
